Right and Wrong

Taking turns wielding moral authority cannot be equitable because immorality is unjust, by definition. The people who assert that compromise means taking turns “being right” do not understand that it is the way that misery is coerced.

This amounts to condoning predation to protect personal feelings while another has property or persons pillaged and plundered by rapacious ideologies. Rapacious is also an excellent word for predatory taxation.

Compromise may vacillate back and forth between opinions, but making wrong choices to gratify one ensures that many more will suffer.

It seems to me that opposition to our Constitutional guarantees of freedom is a demand to live subject to a rapacious government. What possible alternative can there be?
